For well over a decade, companies have relied on David to guide them in Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) compliance matters and to defend them against allegations of TCPA violations. He has represented both closely held and publicly traded companies facing TCPA claims with potential liability in excess of $500 million. David now serves as Head of Litigation and Regulatory Policy at Postscript. Previously, he was President & CEO of a legal technology company, while also serving as an Equity Partner at Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP. Prior to Womble, David founded Innovista Law PLLC and the TCPA Defense Force, a team of attorneys whose mission was to reduce TCPA risk to empower brands to communicate with consumers responsibly and without undue fear. He also spent many years in the telecom practice of Arent Fox (now ArentFox Schiff) in the firm’s Washington, DC office.

Throughout his seventeen years in private practice, David counseled technology companies and telecom carriers through a range of business disputes, often against entrenched incumbents and involving new business models and service offerings. As an experienced litigation attorney, David represented carriers in both state and federal courts, as well as before the Federal Communications Commission and state regulatory agencies. His clients included international as well as domestic telecom companies. He was recognized as a top-rated national telecommunications attorney by Super Lawyers on six different occasions.
